Head Start

The Urban League of Madison County's Head Start program offers comprehensive services to low-income children and their families. Our services consist of health, social services, nutrition, education, transportation, parent involvement, disability services and literacy. Children do better when parents or guardians are involved in their child's education.

Our pre-school education programs ensure that children are ready to start school. To eligible families, we also offer child health screenings and check-ups, and we provide full services to children with disabilities.

Classes

We offer six 6-hour classes, and 12 half-day classes, all at no charge to families.

Volunteer

We encourage parents to participate through parent committees and by volunteering in our service programs. Through volunteer efforts and those of community leaders, we can offer Madison County's children and families our services that contribute to the everyone's well-being.
